This is done for those who fully meet the employment qualifications for certified nursing assistants.

CNA Certification Rules
There is a mandatory NA practice Act meaning no one is to practice as a certified nursing assistant before being certified.
Certification is supposed to be done within the first, fourth months of getting employed as a nursing assistant and one is supposed to start practicing in a home health agency or a nursing home.
Certification is a must before getting employment in a registry or a nursing pool.
Here there isn’t the 4-month allowance for obtaining certification.
There are two means that one can be a certified NA: endorsement or by examination.
Training courses need at least 75 hours to train which includes lab work and lectures, 16 hours or clinical practice that is supervised in a setting that is approved.
Anyone taking the nursing aide examination for the first time has to pass both sections of the national Nursing Aide Assessment Program exam within the first year of completing a training course before being placed on the nurse aide registry of Colorado.
Certification via Examination
There are several ways how one can be certified to work as a certified nursing assistant in Colorado either through attending an approved training course in a different state you have to take on the CNA test.
You need to know that if you have attended training in a different state, it is right to up your skills on all qualifications in Colorado because usually, some states will have different laws.
Certification via Reciprocity
You can get certification in Colorado if you are already certified in a different state and you’d like to make a transfer to Colorado.
This process is called reciprocity, and it is a requirement that you should have an updated license to work as a certified nursing assistant in a different state that you have no criminal or violent background to patients.
Before your work can be approved in CO as a CNA, the nursing board has to work with your previous state nursing board to ensure you are in right relationship with them and a background check on crimes is done.

CNA Training in Colorado
One can be a certified nurse assistant in Colorado after finishing the training program approved by the state and passing the certification exam which is done at a testing site that has been approved.
Training programs fully prepare the students before sitting for the certification test.

Clinical applications are made on Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 am to 4:45 pm for a total of 40 hours.
The cost is about $1195 inclusive of everything.
Red Rocks Community College

Time for classes are optional from the evening, afternoon, weekday, Monday to Thursday stretches or weekends of Friday to Saturday.
