The type of training you need

There are 3 types of truck driving programs, with some being as short as 8 weeks.

The most common license in the industry is the Class A license, for which a 6 to an 8-week course is enough.

If you want to get specialization, look into getting an associate’s degree in diesel technology.

This course will last for 2 years, but if you only want a diploma, you can attend a 1-year program.

Washington State Community College offers a 2-year program with an associate’s degree.

If you don’t have time to attend school during the day, you can opt for an evening class.

For example, Apollo Career Center provides 3 types of classes.

You can choose between a course that lasts for 8 weeks and has all evening classes, or a 4 to 6-week course happening in the daytime.
