The school you choose must be accredited to offer home health aide programs.

Unlike in other professions, future candidates only need to complete a short course.

This course will not last for longer than a few weeks,

In Minnesota, you are required to take 75 hours of training with 16 hours of the total must be spent on practice.

The certification will be issued to you after you pass the exam.

In order to keep it, you need to apply for renewal every year.

To renew your license, you have to take 16 hours of extra education.

It is generally easy to get into a training program for health care aides.
