I am the parent of a 14 year old son. I will be home schooling him at least for the 9th grade. I would like for him to work towards a vocational skill during his high school years. A vocational skill could be an option for the rest of his life or as a way to earn money to pay for an advanced degree if he decides to pursue higher education.

How could he get an overview of the many vocational technical skills so he could find something that interests him? I am not aware of any summer programs.

I am wide open for any guidance or direction.
