Cosmetology Exams in Mississippi

The formal education is followed and finished by the taking and passing of the Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology Exam which consists of Practical Skills Examination and Theory Examination.

Keeping Your License Current in Mississippi

Even though you have gained the license, you are supposed to renew it every two years to continue your legal work.

The renewal fee is $50 and no further education is required.

Still, some people want to advance in the cosmetology field by achieving a Master Cosmetologist, but they need to meet certain requirements.

First, they need to hold a practitioner’s license for at least one year and complete 16 hours of continuing education.
